In 1952, Georges Carel established his eponymous shoe brand in Paris, catering to the local university students. This proximity to youth inspired their designs with bold colors and whimsical details, yet practical and comfortable. Produced in Italy, construction is of the highest quality.

Carel is renowned for having supplied the shoes for the runway shows of some of the most celebrated designers, completing legendary looks for each season. Collaborations with other artists add fresh creations to the storied collection. In 2010, Frédérique Picard joined the Carel family to advance the brand’s development. Today they create their iconic Mary Janes alongside new, forward styles, including hand bags, so everyone can find something they love.
